ABOUT US

We are a Cheshire-based dog training company, offering a full range of services to suit every dog and behavioural need from Private 1-2-1 Lessons to Intensive Fundamentals Courses. Our goal is simple: to help every dog be happy, confident, and well-behaved, while building strong, positive relationships between dogs and their owners based on trust, respect, and clear communication.
With over 7 years of experience working with a wide variety of breeds and behavioural challenges, we use balanced, evidence-based training techniques to create lasting results. Whether your dog needs guidance with obedience, socialisation, or more complex behavioural issues, we are confident we can transform both your dog’s behaviour and your relationship together.
Our founder, Oliver, shares his life with two dogs of his own: Chapo, a 3-year-old American Bully, and Rogue, a 2-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. His personal experience as a dog owner, combined with professional expertise, gives him a real understanding of the challenges and joys of dog ownership
OUR SERVICES
We offer a range of professional dog training services that can be tailored to your dog’s specific needs after an initial assessment. To keep things simple, all of our training falls into two core options:
1. Private 1-2-1 Training Sessions
Personal, hands-on coaching for you and your dog in your home or a suitable outdoor environment.
2. Fundamentals Training Course
An intensive, door-to-door programme where your dog trains with us throughout the day for 5+ days.
121 TRAINING
Our 1-2-1 dog training sessions are personalised appointments designed to help you tackle specific behaviours with your dog. Each session lasts 1–2 hours, and takes place either at your home or in a suitable outdoor environment depending on the behaviour.
During the session, I work hands-on with your dog and coach you through the training techniques so you feel confident continuing the work afterwards. You’ll leave with a clear, simple training plan tailored to your dog.
What We Can Cover
- Lead pulling
- Recall
- Jumping up
- Place training
- Over-arousal and calmness
- General obedience and manners
- Reactivity and impulse control
How It Works
- We discuss your dog’s behaviour and your goals.
- I demonstrate the training techniques step-by-step.
- You practise with support and coaching.
- You get a tailored plan to follow at home to continue progress.
Because your dog spends most of their time with you, success relies on consistent practice after the session.
Pros of 1-2-1 Training
- Fully tailored to your dog and your lifestyle
- Hands-on coaching so you learn the skills yourself
- Flexible timing and location
- Great for specific issues that need focused attention
- Strengthens communication between you and your dog
Considerations
- Progress depends on your consistency between sessions
- Not always the best option for complex or severe behavioural issues
- May require multiple sessions depending on your goals
FUNDAMENTALS
Our Fundamentals Course is our intensive, door-to-door training programme designed to fast-track your dog’s behaviour and core skills. It’s ideal for owners who want quicker progress or who struggle to fit consistent daily training into their routine.
Each programme is tailored to your dog based on an initial consultation and assessment, ensuring the training targets the exact behaviours you want to improve.
Daily Collection & Drop-Off
Your dog is collected from your home in the morning (usually between 7:45–8:00am) and returned in the afternoon (4:00–5:00pm). Collection times can be adjusted slightly to suit your schedule.
Intensive, Structured Training
Throughout the day, your dog works directly with me in real-world environments. This allows for:
- Consistent repetition
- Clear, professional handling
- Controlled exposure to distractions
- Faster learning and more reliable behaviour
Training focuses on the skills and behaviours we agree during your consultation, such as:
- Loose lead walking
- Recall
- Reactivity or over-arousal
- Impulse control and calmness
- Place training
- General manners and obedience
- Confidence building and social skills
5+ Day Programmes
Courses start from 5 days, with longer programmes available depending on your dog’s needs and the goals we’re working toward.
End-of-Course Handover
At the end of the programme, you receive a comprehensive 1-hour handover session, where I show you everything your dog has learned and how to continue the training at home.
Pros of the Fundamentals Course
- Faster Progress
Daily, structured training accelerates learning compared to weekly sessions. - Professional Training All Day
Your dog receives consistent guidance. - Perfect for Busy Owners
I handle the intensive daily work while you focus on maintaining the progress afterwards. - Tailored to Your Dog
Every programme is built around your dog’s assessment and behavioural goals. - Real-World Training Environments
Your dog learns around different distractions and scenarios to build reliability. - Clear Handover for Long-Term Success
You’re taught the commands, techniques, and structure needed to keep behaviours consistent
Considerations
- Owner follow-through is essential
Your dog will learn the skills, but maintaining the progress requires consistency at home after the handover. - Some behaviours need longer than 5 days
Stronger issues such as reactivity, anxiety, or ingrained habits may require extended programmes
REACTIVITY
For dogs with significant behavioural challenges, such as human or dog aggression, handler aggression, or reactivity on the lead, we typically recommend a combination of our services.
We do not support fast-track programs that promise quick fixes for complex behavioural issues. While basic obedience and minor training concerns can often be addressed in just a few sessions, more serious challenges require a longer-term approach.
Following an initial assessment, we will create a bespoke training plan tailored to your dog’s specific needs. It’s important to remember that complex behaviours rarely resolve overnight and ongoing practice by the owner outside of sessions is essential for lasting progress.
DOG TRAINING CLASSES
Looking to build a stronger bond with your dog while teaching them essential life skills? Our classes are designed to set you and your dog up for success with clear, fun, and practical training that works in the real world.
- Safe & Secure Training
All classes are held at a private yard, giving you peace of mind that your dog can learn, play, and socialise in a safe, secure environment without the distractions of a busy park. - Small Class Sizes

TESTIMONIALS

We cannot recommend Ollie enough! From the moment we reached out to him, we knew our dog’s behavior was in excellent hands. Our staffy Gilbert had some behavioral challenges, especially whilst out on walks and we were feeling pretty overwhelmed. But Ollie changed everything!
His approach is calm, kind, and incredibly effective. What stands out the most is how he tailors his methods to fit your dog's unique personality and needs. We saw noticeable improvements within just a few sessions – our dog became more responsive, confident, and well-behaved (most of the time haha). The transformation was truly remarkable!
Not only does Ollie teach dogs, but he also empowers owners with the right techniques to reinforce positive behaviors at home. The personalized guidance and continued support he offers make all the difference.
The best part personally is that Ollie truly cares about the well-being of the dogs and their families. He created a welcoming, non-judgmental space where we felt supported every step of the way. If you're looking for someone who can build a solid relationship with your dog while teaching them proper behavior, look no further.
Thank you for everything Ollie – you’ve made such a positive impact on Gilbert and we are all going to miss you!!
Lucy, John, Brad & of course Gilbert 🐾
Highly recommend Rogue Canine, Ollie has been brilliant with our 3 yr old male Labrador, Smokey, helping to correct his reactivity with other dogs, aswell as teaching him good manners, such as loose lead walking and recall. Ollie not only works with your dog he also helps and supports you as dog owners on how to manage and support your dog in keeping up with their new learnt behaviours.
It's been lovely to see how much Smokey has bonded with Ollie 🐾
Update 15/11/25
In addition to Ollie's 1-1 training sessions Smokey has just taken part in the 5 week group training sessions, these helped Smokey overcome being distracted by other dogs and staying focused. Ollie has helped Smokey become a better version of himself but still keeping his character and personality.
Ollie is always on the other end of the phone to help support.
Thank you Ollie for all your help!!
PRISCILLA SPOONER

Ollie has worked wonders with our 3 year old spaniel!
Luna was super reactive on lead with other dogs and strangers, as well as new people in the house. Ollie instantly was able to correct our lead technique, to keep Luna engaged with us at all times, this building her confidence when walking past dogs/humans that she would once react too.
Luna’s anxiety has reduced significantly since the training and is continuing to improve each day.
I couldn’t recommend Rogue Canine enough, Ollie is always at the end of the phone for extra support and tips, as well as flexible with times to fit in with our schedule.
Thank you for all your help!
BRAD ISHERWOOD
Oscar my 2 year old French bulldog has been reactive to people and dogs since 10 months old. This has been very stressful, we no longer have people in the house and walking him can be very difficult with him screaming and lunging at passing dogs. Ollie recommended that oscar should complete a 4 day course to build up his confidence and help him to reduce his anxieties. During the initial assessment Oscar displayed his reactive behaviours which Ollie was not phased at all by... but by drop off on day 4 Oscar ran over to him for kisses which was lovely to see as he is fearful of all new people! Ollie recommended a different lead for when we are out and has taught me the techniques he used during his sessions. I am aware that Oscar’s behaviour will not instantly change, but I already feel much more confident with him in public and Ollie will be returning to help me work with his issues within the house. I cannot thank Ollie enough for his patience, care and understanding and would 100% recommend his company to anyone who is also struggling with reactivity.
