These Terms & Conditions should be read in conjunction with the Rogue Canine Client Registration & Behavioural Disclosure Form, which forms part of the agreement between Rogue Canine and its clients.

By booking any service with Rogue Canine, clients confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings & Payments

A consultation fee is required at the time of booking.

Consultation fees are non-refundable.

Consultations may be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours' notice.

Where less than 48 hours' notice is provided, the consultation fee will be forfeited.

1-to-1 Training

Payment terms for 1-to-1 training will be agreed at the time of booking.

Sessions cancelled or rearranged with less than 48 hours' notice will be forfeited.

Where a client chooses to discontinue a programme after training has commenced, for reasons unrelated to Rogue Canine's ability to provide the agreed service, the full programme fee remains payable.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

By booking training, owners confirm that, to the best of their knowledge, their dog is fit, healthy and capable of safely undertaking the services booked.

In the event of illness, injury or veterinary emergency whilst a dog is in the care of Rogue Canine, every reasonable effort will be made to contact the owner immediately.

Where the owner cannot be contacted and urgent veterinary treatment is deemed necessary, Rogue Canine reserves the right to seek appropriate veterinary care on the owner's behalf.

The owner remains responsible for all veterinary fees, treatment costs, transport costs and any associated expenses incurred, regardless of whether pet insurance is in place.

5. Behavioural History & Safety

Owners must provide accurate and honest information regarding their dog's behaviour.

This includes disclosure of:

  • Bite history

  • Aggression towards people

  • Aggression towards animals

  • Previous incidents

  • Dangerous behaviours

  • Legal restrictions

  • Ongoing behavioural concerns

Failure to disclose known behavioural concerns may result in training being suspended or terminated immediately.

In such circumstances, Rogue Canine reserves the right to retain any deposit paid and refuse further services.

Rogue Canine reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate training where safety concerns arise.

6. Training Plans & Professional Discretion

Each dog is assessed individually and training plans are tailored to the needs of the dog and owner.

Rogue Canine reserves the right to amend, modify or alter any training programme where doing so is considered necessary for safety, welfare or training outcomes.

Where previously undisclosed behavioural concerns, aggression or safety risks become apparent after training has commenced, Rogue Canine reserves the right to discontinue training.

Where training is discontinued by Rogue Canine for welfare or safety reasons, any deposit paid will be retained to cover assessment, planning and training already undertaken. No further fees shall be payable by either party.

7. Training Methods & Equipment

Rogue Canine uses a balanced and ethical training approach tailored to the individual dog.

Any training equipment recommended or utilised during training will be discussed with the owner beforehand and will only be used with the owner's knowledge and agreement.

Training methods may vary depending on the dog's temperament, behaviour, learning history and individual needs.

The welfare of the dog remains the priority at all times.

Clients agree to:

  • Follow training guidance provided

  • Practise recommended exercises

  • Maintain consistency outside of training sessions

  • Notify Rogue Canine of any significant changes affecting training

Failure to follow guidance may impact results.

Owners remain legally responsible for their dog at all times.

Whilst every effort will be made to help clients achieve their training goals, Rogue Canine cannot guarantee specific behavioural outcomes.

Dog behaviour is influenced by numerous factors including:

  • Genetics

  • Environment

  • Previous experiences

  • Health

  • Consistency of training

  • Owner implementation

Results will vary between individual dogs.

10. Weather Conditions

The welfare and safety of all dogs remains the highest priority.

  • Extreme cold

  • Thunderstorms

Such changes shall not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund or compensation.

11. Transport & Day Training Welfare

Where dogs are transported as part of a training programme, Rogue Canine will take reasonable steps to ensure their welfare and safety.

Environmental conditions will be monitored throughout the day.

Where temperatures or conditions are considered unsuitable for prolonged vehicle transport or outdoor training activities, Rogue Canine reserves the right to:

  • Modify training plans

  • Reduce transport time

  • Utilise alternative training environments

  • Rearrange training days

These decisions will always be made in the best interests of the dog's welfare.

12. GPS Tracking Devices & Airtags

Owners must inform Rogue Canine if their dog is wearing an Airtag, GPS tracker or similar tracking device.

For the privacy, security and safety of Rogue Canine, its staff and clients, Rogue Canine reserves the right to remove or disable such devices whilst a dog is participating in training services.

Owners acknowledge that dogs may be transported to various training locations as part of their programme and agree not to use tracking devices to monitor, attend or investigate training locations without prior agreement.

Rogue Canine accepts no responsibility for the loss, damage or battery depletion of tracking devices left attached to a dog's equipment.

13. Socialisation & Dog Interactions

Rogue Canine will determine appropriate levels of interaction between dogs based on temperament, training goals and safety considerations.

Socialisation does not necessarily involve direct interaction, play or physical contact with other dogs.

Training plans may involve observation, exposure and neutrality exercises rather than direct social interaction.

14. Collection & Release of Dogs

Dogs will only be released to the owner or a person authorised by the owner.

Owners must notify Rogue Canine in advance where another individual is collecting their dog.

Persistent delays in collection or handover may result in training time being reduced and/or additional charges being applied.

15. Dogs in Season

Owners must inform Rogue Canine if their dog is in season or expected to come into season during a training programme.

Rogue Canine reserves the right to amend, postpone or modify training arrangements where necessary to ensure the welfare and safety of all dogs involved.

Participation in group training sessions is at the discretion of Rogue Canine.

Rogue Canine reserves the right to withdraw or refuse participation where a dog's behaviour presents a risk to other participants, dogs or members of the public.

17. Damage to Property & Equipment

Owners remain responsible for any avoidable damage caused by their dog to Rogue Canine property, equipment or vehicles resulting from destructive behaviour, excessive chewing or similar actions.

18. Photography, Video & Marketing

This may include use on:

  • Our website

Rogue Canine reserves the right to terminate services where a client behaves in an abusive, threatening, aggressive or unreasonable manner towards its staff, representatives or other clients.

In such circumstances, deposits and payments already made may be retained.

20. Liability

Whilst every reasonable care will be taken when handling and training dogs, participation in dog training carries an inherent level of risk.

Certain training exercises may involve the use of long lines, enclosed areas, controlled off-lead work or other activities appropriate to the dog's stage of training.

Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken, owners acknowledge that no environment can be guaranteed entirely risk-free.

Rogue Canine accepts no liability for:

  • Injury to dogs resulting from undisclosed medical or behavioural conditions

  • Injury caused by a client's failure to follow training guidance
